Located next to Pedre\u00f1a and just 21 km from Santander, it offers a regular passenger transport service by boat with Santander and Pedre\u00f1a, whose boats are popularly called &#8220;lanchas&#8221; or &#8220;pedre\u00f1eras&#8221;, the boats that cross the bay, called \u201cTHE REGINAS.\u201d The journey takes about 20 minutes frequently every half hour. It is a good way to get to Santander comfortably and at the same time experience a short but unique trip around the bay. Despite their size, they are baby redwoods, since this species can reach up to 115 meters in height.<\/p>\n<p>The history of the Cabez\u00f3n de la Sal redwood forest dates back to the 1940s, when reforestation in the area was necessary. To explore the forest there is a wooden walkway that runs between the redwoods and makes the route accessible to everyone.<\/p>\n<p>HORSE LIGHTHOUSE<\/p>\n<p>At the foot of Mount Buciero is the Caballo lighthouse, the light that from 1863 to 1993 guided ships in Santo\u00f1a, in eastern Cantabria. To access it you have to go down 763 steps that were built by prisoners from the Santo\u00f1a Presidio Barracks, while we can enjoy impressive views of the Cantabrian Sea.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to know that the road is not paved and there are no services of any kind during the tour. However, it is a pleasant route that begins on the Santo\u00f1a promenade.
